Everyday Cars

If you have read my blog posts, most of them relate to high end dream cars. The aim of this one is to highlight some everyday cars I like the look of and one day would like to drive.

I will start with the Citören DS3.

This car has caught my attention, I love the look of it inside and out. The prices start at around £13,300 up to around £19,000. Engines range from a 1.2 litre engine and go up to a 1.6 litre. You can have petrol or deisel engines along with manual or automatic gearboxes. There are 32 different options of body colour combinations to suit your style. The interior can also be customised to suit your style from the upholstery to the gear stick, it really is down to your personal taste. The car has new LED light technology that Citören calls DS LED Vision including new headlamps associating the power of Xenon with LED modules and scrolling indicators. The rear lights arealso use an innovative 3D effect.
The DS 3 has effective noise insulation: vibration, engine noise, wind noise and road noise are all insulated close to the sources of emission.
For more information, either go to your Citören dealer or go to your local Citören website.

Next up is the new Renault Clio

I had a Renault Clio around 9 years ago and it was dreadful. It it had slow acceleration, it looked horrible, it handled badly and worst of all, it had no personality of its own. Every car I owned before and since has. Fast forward to today and what you have is a great looking car that Oozes style and personality. They also have the Clio Cup series that supports the Brittish Touring Car Championship.
The Clio starts at £11,145 with the Expression and go up to £21,780 for the Clio Renault Nav Trophy model. Engines range from a 1.2 litre up to a 1.6 litre engines. You again have the choice of manual or automatic gearbox.
It comes equipped with climate control, cruise control, hill start assist, reversing camera, rear parking distance control and an ESP setting to help the car grip. You do get a lot for your money.
For more information, either go to your local Renault dealer or go to your local Renault website.

Moving on and up in price range, my next choice is the Nissan 370Z

Quite simply, it's beautiful and quick. Prices start from £27,605 and rise to £37,745. The engine is the same with the Coupe, GT and Nismo models and it's a 3.7 litre V6. This can propell the car from 0-62 in 5.3 seconds. The Coupe model also comes with 18inch alloy wheels, Climate  control. Bi-Xenon headlights with headlight washer, Bluetooth® with steering wheel controls, Push start/stop button, Intelligent key, Rain Sensing Wipers, Electrically-foldable, adjustable and heated mirrors, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), 4-way power seats,
Black cloth seats. The GT and Nismo models come equipped with even more.

Finally the F-Type Jaguar

Showing both the Coupe and the Convertible this again is beautiful inside and out. Prices for the Coupe begin at £51,260 and the Convertible from £56,745. The engines range from a 3.0 Litre V6 Supercharged 340 PS, that goes from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 161mph with a manual gearbox to a 5.0 Litre V8 Supercharged 550 PS Automatic AWD that goes from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 186mph. I sat in the white F-Type that is photoed above at the Wilton House Classic and Supercar weekend earlier this year at the Harwoods stand. It was snug but very comfortable. The interior was stunning. It comes with equipped with Jaguar Performance Braking System with silver callipers, sports suspension  and exhaust, Bi-Function HID Xenon headlamps with washers and LED signature lights, 18' Vela alloy wheels, sport seats with leather and suede cloth facings, 3 spoke leather steering wheel, 8 inch colour touch screen, light hex aluminium console finish, 180W Jaguar sound system - 8 speakers.

So there you have it, four cars I would love to have a go in. Feel free to leave comments especially about cars you would like to drive.
To Citören, Renault, Nissan and Jaguar, I really would love a test drive in these cars. I'm not yet in a position to buy them but I promise you would get a blog post that would be read around the world.
