Intelligent Money British GT Championship - Silverstone 500

I attended the Intelligent Money British GT Championship - Silverstone 500 on June 27th 2021.
This was the 10th anniversary of the longest and most prestigious event in this championship.
A field of over 30 GT3 and GT4 cars slogged it out on the track for three hours of wheel to wheel racing for the class win and overall win.

There were no pit windows, three diver changes to be made during the race and with a very overcast day, would rain also affect the outcome of the race? All of this made a great afternoon of racing.

I was based at Copse Grandstand, below are my photo's from the event.

Cars take their places on the grid.

And they're off.

The No.5 Balfe Motorsport McLaren driven by Stewart Proctor and Lewis Proctor.

If you can get to one of these races, it's well worth it. To see supercars battling for supremacy on track wheel to wheel is fantastic. Then there is the noise, not overly loud from where I was sat but still fantastic to hear these cars at full throttle.  Although there were spins, the safety car was not deployed during the race.
There were support races that I did not get to see due to time, they were:
Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge.
BRDC British F3 Championship.
Porsche Visit Cayman Islands Sprint Challenge.
4 races series for around £20 a ticket and under 16's are free made for great value.
I will hopefully be back at this event in the future.
