MPH03

I attended the first top gear live show called MPH03 after the series was brought back by the BBC. This was the first car show I had been to. The venue for this show was Earls Court, London. I was lucky enough to be one of the first people in and had my photo taken with Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and met Jeremy Clarkson and had a quick chat with him while he signed autographs. He was a very nice chap and what you see on TV is his natural personality.

There were both static displays and a live arena.

Chelsea Auto Legends - 5 September 2011

I attended the 2011 Chelsea Auto Legends Show. Held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, this was to be a great gathering of cars. The day itself had very mixed weather going from sunny to raining and back again. This however did not dampen people's spirits. 

I was lucky enough to meet Stirling Moss, Richard Atwood and Norman Dewis at the event. While chatting with Norman I asked him if he had a favourite Jaguar on display. Norman said that it would be the 1958 Lister-Jaguar Knobbly that was raced by Briggs Cunningham.

On the road outside, I spotted this. It was far and away the loudest car I heard all day.
