I recently made a visit to the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum.
The museum was founded by Richard and Hasell Atwell. They have lived in Calne all of their lives and began collecting cars, the first was a 1937 Buick Albermarle and shortly more cars followed. In 1972, Richard and Hasell loaned a car to a relative for their wedding and this gave them the idea of having a Wedding Car Hire Fleet. Today, the fleet is impressive with a wide range of vehicles that can be hired for your special day.
In 1981, their collection was brought together initially in the smallest of three buildings. In 1989 the Main Hall was constructed this is now where most of the cars can be seen.
Exhibits at the museum are changed frequently due to some of the vehicles going out on loan, this means that you may not see the same exhibits on a second visit. They also exhibit Motorbikes, mopeds and bicycles.
Below are photo's I took on my visit.
