On August Bank Holiday Monday, I attended the Newton Tony Village fete. I took my daughter Maddi along as when I was her age, my parents took me to this event. I went with the expectation of seeing steam engines giving passenger rides, a bouncy castle, locally made goods and a car boot sale. I was happy to find all of the above still going strong after 30 years but there was also a small but varied car show. Another unexpected bonus was bumping into some friends at the event.
