Dick Lovett Ferrari

During the summer, I paid a visit to Dick Lovett Ferrari in Swindon. This showroom is state of the art and houses the largest selection in the south of England and Wales of used Ferrari's as well as a complete range of current Ferrari's. Dick Lovett Ferrari also cover all aspects of servicing and maintenance only using genuine Ferrari parts.
The Dick Lovett Group was founded in 1959 as a partnership between Dick Lovett and his wife Stella. This was called Ross Motors and was based in Leicester. Originally, Ross Motors sold motorbikes but Dick had a passion for sports cars saw him sell them to those with a liking for them.
During the 1960's the business grew and in 1966, Dick moved to Swindon and began trading in his home name and began selling Lamborghini's, Ferrari's and other desirable sports cars.
In 1968, Dick Lovett became an official partner in the UK for BMW, this was followed up in the 1970's with partnerships with Porsche and for a short time, Ferrari and Maserati. The Ferrari and Maserati Partnership was re-established in 2002 and based at the Copse showroom in Swindon.
Today the company is run by Peter Lovett, Dick's son. Peter has a passion for sports cars and motorsport. During the 1970's and 1980's Peter raced at Le Mans six times for teams such as Porsche, Lola and Mazda and also four times at the 24 Hours of Spa. From 1981 to 1983, Peter raced a Rover Vitesse SD-1 and won against the likes of Steve Soper and Martin Brundle.
On visiting the showroom, some truly stunning cars awaited me. Below are the photos I took.
