The Bean Car Club - The Daffodil Run

I attended the Daffodil Run in Stockbridge organised by The Bean Car Club on the 14th of April.

The Bean Car Club caters for all makes of vintage and veteran cars up to and including 1939, was founded over 50 years ago by the late Rex Tapley who felt that there should be a club for the less celebrated cars. This started as The Bean Register but soon expanded to become the Bean Car Club when owners of other makes wanted to join.
Today The Bean Car Club organises several events throughout the year.
The Daffodil Run first took place in 1964 and ran from Bracknell to Beaulieu and has had several changes over the years to the start and end point.
for 2024, the start would be at The New Inn, Heckfield with an additional sign on point at the Grosvenor Hotel in Stockbridge, Then a drive to the Alice Lisle in The New Forrest for a picnic then back to the village hall in Kings Somborne to end the run.
The run is done in aid of the Marie Curie whose emblem is the daffodil.
So far 2024 has been a mixed bag weather wise but, the sun shone for The Daffodil Run and a wide range of vehicles turned out.

My favourite car from this event was the 1938 Lagonda V12 Le Mans, you heard it long before you saw it and it looked fantastic.
My thanks to David Mane of The Bean Car Club for his assistance on the day.
