Joe Macari is an ex racing driver that funded his racing career through the buying and selling of cars. He once competed in numerous FIA-GT1 races around the world and he also competed in the Le Mans 24 hour race.
His career ended in 1993 when he was involved in a car accident which left him with tendon damage after his car exploded and was engulfed in flames.
Over the years, Joe's sales, repairs and servicing grew due to his passion and love of cars and in 1998 he moved his business to a prominent location on the A3. In 2007, Joe Macari acquired official Ferrari and Maseratti service dealership giving his business a huge boost.
2014 saw the business move to a new showroom in Southfields, where it has an impressive 19,000 square foot state of the art showroom complete with TV screens, a mezzanine floor that gives a great view of the show room and what it has to offer. It's also home the workshop where some of the finest restorations in Europe takes place, as you can imagine there not cheap but when it comes to these type of cars quality costs and with amazing reviews you know your getting the quality you desire.
Joe Macari also offers accident repairs and racing tuition.
While on my visit, I spoke to a salesman called Dave, we chatted about how both classic cars and modern used supercars are rising in value. People who want to own these cars are willing to pay due to the limited numbers, the condition of the cars and the history of manufacturer's. A great example is the Ferrari Daytona, There was a time when one could be purchased for around £50,000, Last year they were going for £750,000, This year Joe Macari has one up for sale at £950,000 showing just how valuable the Daytona has become.
